THE JOURNEY BEGINS AT AGE 6
IMMERSIVE METHODOLOGY
Drummers can differ vastly in style, swing and technique, but a drummers inherent feel can make or break a song. There’s literally hundreds of ways to play the same beat by ones feel alone, which is why a well-rounded approach to learning drums is essential. Feel instinctively comes from years of playing and appreciation of multiple genres….it’s the intangible that takes your drumming to the next level.
FLEXIBLE APPROACH
I am currently accepting private students of all ages and all levels of drumming ability. I maintain an open teaching approach so the learning process is relaxed, fun, and engaging. My goal is to inspire my students to find their own voice on the drums, retain new, genuine skills and learn how to incorporate them in everyday playing.
CUSTOM BUILT FOY YOU
Drum lessons are custom built to suit your needs. Learn the fundamentals of rhythm, hand/foot coordination, rudiments, groves, fills, technique and more. More than drumming, you will learn to compliment songs. My studio is set up for listening and playing along with music, which is crucial to understanding the role of the drum set in various styles of music. More advanced concepts include creative phrasing, syncopated time playing, and style-specific studies in rock, pop, R&B and blues.

DRUM LESSON REVIEW HIGHLIGHTS
"My 12 year old started learning drums with Stephan and I couldn't be happier with such a wonderful, patient and experienced and a fun teacher!
My son took immediate liking and said his teacher is the best ever 😂. I observed how well Stephan taught
and so thankful that I was able to find him close by. Thanks so much Stephan." - Shruthi M.
"Stephan is my second drum instructor and by far my favorite, he made learning to play so easy. He taught me the concepts I considered difficult in a very approachable way and each lesson felt unique to what we were working on, I never felt rushed and all of my questions were always answered. I recommend Stephan if you are a total beginner and know nothing about the instrument because of how well he explains everything as well as an intermediate because he knows so many techniques and shows you how to apply them in your playing! He also accommodated my need for a mask being worn during the lessons, he is also very flexible with your schedule and will work out a day and time that is best for you." -Arely L.
